Fuel to the fire

Wall away, go on
All you have done is shut me out
So I’m over it thanks to you
I’m pissed off
I’m hurt
Because you couldn’t grow a pair
And come and talk to me
I’m not a fucking child
I wouldn’t throw a fit
I would have listened to you
I would have been there for you
But instead you turned your back
So fine ..
You turn yours
And I’ll turn mine.

Walls

Laying on the floor
I look up at my surroundings
It’s plain
Nothing is on the walls
No pictures
Nor color
Just plain white walls
There is no sound
But my own breathing
My own steady heartbeat
It’s boring
All this plain
And all this emptiness
I need to find something
To fill this void
Before I lose it.

Ponder

I stumble upon a river
Flowing wild and free
The sight of the water
Soothes my restless soul
I watch the water
And I imagine myself
As part of this freedom
And I drift away.

Enemy

I crumble
I fall
I break down
Some days it’s hard
To stay on my feet
To keep myself upright
When everything around me
Works so hard to push me down
I’m picked at
And stepped on
It comes from everyone
But worst of all
The most of it
Comes from me
There is so much truth
In, I am my own worst enemy .

Rain

It begins to rain
Down on her face
And she lays in the grass
She has been laying here for hours
Just thinking about everything
About what’s been going on
And she lays here with her eyes closed
Taking in each hit these drops make
Like the drops are the words
Being spit from her enemies
Or words she herself have used
To build up her defense
Each drop hits her
Each one has it’s mission
But together they must try
To break her apart.

Out at night

She laced up her shoe
And popped her earbuds in
She pressed play
And walked out the door
She needs to clear her head
And she needs to run
She gets to the end of her street
And trend down the next
Her running picked up
As her thoughts got more in depth
She finally had to slow down
Her breathing was ragged
She leaned over her knees
To catch her breath
And someone knocked her down
Before she could turn around
They kicked her ribs
Knocking more wind out of her
They kicked her at least 10 times
Before stepping on her ankle
She felt it snap under the weight
She tried to move
But the pain pinned her down
A foot slid under her body
And it kicked her over
She saw the man standing over her
He smirked at her
Then spit in her eyes
He pulled his foot back
And kicked her in the head
Spit on her again
Then walked away
Leaving her there
Like she was yesterday’s trash.

Thick

You look at me with judging eyes
And I can see the work
Your mind has to do
To think of something clever
Your words may be clever
Each sentence laced with poison
But it takes more than your words
To break trough my skin
See I’ve heard it all before
From people who are closer than you
And yes their words are hurtful
But they and you don’t get to know.
